Join Girls on the Run of Gaston County for our first-ever New Balance 5K in Historic Downtown Belmont. The girls, coaches, families, running buddies, and friends will gather for a fun-filled morning of Girls on the Run excitement. This event is open to the public and will include food, music, a post-race celebration, awards, and giveaways.
Girls on the Run of Gaston County has grown 240% in the last 12 months. This fall we are fielding 35 teams at 20 schools with 500 girls participating. Of these girls, 65% were awarded full or partial scholarships. The proceeds of this New Balance 5K will provide scholarships for future Girls on the Run.

Time: 5K Race begins at 9 AM
Race Day Registration and Pre-race festivities begin a 8 AM in Stowe Park.
Starting Line: Main Street in front of the Belmont General Store
Finish Line: Main Street in front of Caravan Coffee
Course: Race participants will enjoy Belmont's charming homes and unique storefronts as they run through downtown Belmont.
