Volunteer with Girls On The Run

Want to get involved but can't commit to coaching? There are plenty of other ways to get involved. Please take a look at our opportunities to determine what works best for your schedule. We look forward to using your time and talents to help inspire girls to be joyful, healthy and confident!

5k Volunteer

Our Girls on the Run 5k  is the culminating event of our fall season. For this to be a memorable, safe and fun celebration, we need LOTS of volunteers the week of the 5k and on Race Day. This is a unique opportunity to engage with our program participants, meet new people, and celebrate what Girls on the Run is all about. Opportunities for GOTR fun include volunteering with our Happy Hair Station, monitoring the race course, awarding medals and more. For details, click here.

If you are not sure whether or not you have a current background check on file with GOTR, please contact Volunteer Manager Anne Mallonee, [email protected]

Site Liaison

This Site Liaison is a volunteer who provides a connection between the Girls on the Run staff, coaches, and the site. A key responsibility of the Site Liaison is promoting the program during the registration period. Ideally the Site Liaison is someone with the flexibility to be able to visit individual classrooms to introduce GOTR and remind potential participants of registration deadlines.
