Kathleen Boyce
Executive Director

Kathleen has served as Council Director of Girls on the Run of Gaston County since 2008. Kathleen holds a bachelor’s degree in English from Davidson College, a master’s degree in English from Virginia Commonwealth University, and a Certificate in Non-Profit Management from Duke University. Her work experience includes teaching high school English and preschool. She has also served as an elder and Sunday School teacher at First Presbyterian Church, Belmont, a Girl Scout leader, and a PTA officer. She currently serves on the Stowe YMCA and the Jim "Catfish" Hunter ALS Chapter Boards of Directors. Kathleen belongs to a family of runners. One of the highlights of her year is the annual Boyce Jingle Jog on Christmas morning with her husband Richard, her daughters Laura, Sarah, Virginia, and Caroline and their husbands.

Patty Brooks

Patty was delighted to join the staff of GOTR in 2014. Patty received a bachelor’s degree in Nursing from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Her work experience includes public health and school health nursing, and non-profit marketing, development, and special events management. Patty has served as a volunteer for Gaston School of the Arts, The Little Theater of Gastonia and a Sunday school teacher, youth leader, and administrative board member at Bradley Memorial United Methodist Church. Patty and her husband Rick are proud parents to their daughter Caroline who graduated this spring from Davidson College.

Anne Mallonee

Anne graduated in 1987 with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from North Carolina State University, and in the spring of 1988, received her certification in Elementary Education (K-6) from Meredith College. Anne has been a flight attendant, business owner, and teacher. She became involved as a volunteer coach with GOTR in 2007. Anne is happily married to Walt and is mom to Megan, a student Chapel-Hill, and Quinn, a student at Ashbrook High School. As a volunteer, Anne is a Sunday School teacher and counselor for high school students at First United Methodist Church, and serves on the board of the Central YMCA.

Caroline Brooks
Communications Intern

Caroline graduated from Davidson College in May with a bachelor’s degree in Religion. While on campus, she was a member of the Delilahs, Davidson’s only all-female a cappella group, and a founding contributor to Davidson’s chapter of Her Campus, the number one online community for college women. Caroline has been actively involved in Gastonia’s arts community for nearly fifteen years through performances and volunteer work with Gaston School of the Arts Playhouse, the Little Theater of Gastonia, and Actors’ Conservatory Theatre at Gaston Day School. She was Forestview High School’s Carrousel Princess and a National Merit Scholar. Caroline brings to Girls on the Run a passion for empowering young girls and instilling in them an understanding of their own limitless potential, as well as unwavering devotion to Twitter and iced coffee.
